Producer Patrick Wilson plans to bring The Lost Boys to the UK.
On Magic Radio this morning, Wilson said they “will” bring the four-time Tony Award-winning musical across the Atlantic, but a timeline or venue have not been revealed.
The Lost Boys is based on the same-named 1987 movie about a mom and her two teenage sons who move to a vampire-infested coastal town. In search of connection, elder son Michael finds himself drawn to a band of glam-rock vamps and is torn between two worlds.
On 7 June, at Broadway's Tony Awards ceremony, The Lost Boys took home prizes for actors Ali Louis Bourzgui (as vampire leader David) and Shoshana Bean (as single mom Lucy Emerson), and for its scenic and lighting design.
The Lost Boys features a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, a score by The Rescues, direction by three-time Tony winner Michael Arden, and choreography, including aerial choreography, by Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Cree Grant.
