It's been a real treat to take a musical journey and enjoy a special live performance of the iconic Frank Sinatra album, Songs for Swingin' Lovers!, performed by world-leading Frank Sinatra artist, Stephen Triffitt (interview here) at the Cadogan Hall.

Backed by the wonderful Manhattan Swing Orchestra, the concert in the beautiful Chelsea venue included some “rarities” from the 1956 album and some of the most famous hits.

Featuring songs such as You Make Me Feel So Young, Too Marvelous for Words, Old Devil Moon and I've Got You Under My Skin, Songs for Swingin' Lovers! is an album that celebrates the joys of love through Sinatra's interpretations of songs from The Great American Songbook. It was the first album ever to top the UK Albums Chart way back in 1959. In 2000, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Who doesn't like I've Got You Under My Skin? No one can ever be tired of Cole Porter, much less Frank Sinatra singing Cole Porter.

With feet tapping and people swaying in their seats, Stephen Triffitt sings with infectious excitement and the songs flow effortlessly, one after the other. “Sounds just like…him!”, the lady next to me whispers to her friend. And it is true. There are no pointless “modern touches” here. Stephen sounds like Frank, moves like Frank, talks like Frank. Looking at him is like seeing the reincarnation of Sinatra. Just incredible.

Songs for Swingin' Lovers is Sinatra at the top of his game, swinging with force and finesse.

And this is exactly what this concert is about. A brilliant choice of songs and a real tribute to the great Sinatra.
