KNOCK KNOCK

Tristan Bates Theatre

I went to this one hour play with little information and I must admit: it was a powerful experience.

Niv Petel tells us a story about a single mother watching her son growing in Israel, where the military service is compulsory. How is living and growing in a place where your child is destined to become a solider?

The relationship between mother and son is explored slowly since he is a baby throughout the childhood and until he becomes a man and joins the Army: it is moving, and I was stunned by the performance of Niv. Everything seemed just real, engaging and emotional. I think the whole audience was like hypnotized. Another good production at the Tristan Bates.
