Even if we mostly review theatre, occasionally we give you some tips about movies too good to be missed. A quiet place - a scary box office winner thriller/horror – is one of them.

Evelyn and Lee Abbott (Emily Blunt and John Krasinski) live with their two children, Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus (Noah Jupe), on a farm. They live every day in silence to survive the threat of creatures that kill by sound.

The story is simple, but the tension and the suspense hold the attention of the audience throughout the 80 minutes.  It is beautifully shot and the narrative gives a good sense of family. I am not a big fan of horror movies, but in general nobody cares about the characters. On the contrary, this movie also focuses on the family members and their interactions with each other and you can feel a kinship with them (one of the last scenes is very touching).

There are basically no words spoken, but believe me: silence has never been so loud!
