What a cold December this has been! But the Definitive Rat Pack bring their party to the Cadogan Hall as they embark on their festive tour and make us feel warm and cosy, singing us through both festive and classic hits.

The Definitive Rat Pack are Stephen Triffitt, Mark Adams and George Daniel Long, who star as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. They were previously in The Rat Pack: Live from Las Vegas, that we reviewed in 2018 from the West End, before going on to later tour globally, with two years in Vegas. The Rat Pack are a great and faithfully honest tribute to three men who changed the music forever. Needless to say, they are as equally talented as the singers they are impersonating.

This is a show of joy (palpable in the auditorium) but also humour and style. It features all the classics like White Christmas, Baby It's Cold Outside, The Christmas Song and Let It Snow, plus all-time favourites including Mack the Knife, That's Amore, Mr Bojangles, My Way and New York, New York.

With a large Christmas tree above the stage, Christmas songs and costumes, the Rat Pack are joined by acclaimed West End performers The Golddiggers and the Manhattan Swing Orchestra. The band is excellent and the musical arrangements are magnificent:  everything sounds and looks fantastic.

There is a lot going on in the news at the moment. So, if you need cheering up even though it's Christmas, this entertaining, elegant, beautifully produced show is just for you.

If you want to see a Christmas show this year, make it this one.
