A bitterly cold winter in London Town, and as it turns out, Ebenezer Scrooge wasn’t the only person to be visited by spirits one bleak and haunted Christmas Eve.

In a thrilling new play, the classic Dickens character of Cratchit is taken on a time-bending journey through Christmas future.

An innovative inversion of the immortal classic ‘A Christmas Carol’, and an ultimately hopeful play for today, ‘December’ is written and directed by ORL Artistic Director  Alexander Knott (Private Peaceful, The Barn Theatre & Bristol Old Vic) and performed by West End star, Ryan Hutton (Only Fools & Horses The Musical) and  Freya Sharp (Nuclear War, Old Red Lion).

Reuniting the original Bag of Beard collective on and off stage for the first time since  2017’s ‘Bath’, ‘December’ features sound design and original music by Samuel Heron  & James Demaine. All profit will be donated to Hackney Winter Night Shelter, a  charity specifically aiming to provide a route out of homelessness and sleeping rough during the coldest time of year.

This filmed production is available here to stream 20 December 2020 - 5 January  2021. Once your ticket is booked, you will be sent a link and password to view the production at your own convenience, with the link expiring on 6 January.
