Theatrical legends old and new are coming together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stephen Schwartz’s (Wicked; The Prince of Egypt) acclaimed hit Godspell in an exciting online charity concert experience. Ruthie Henshall (Chicago) and Darren Day (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat) will return to reprise their roles from the 1993 studio recording, alongside an incredible cast featuring Sam Tutty (Dear Evan Hansen), Ria Jones (Sunset Boulevard) and Jenna Russell (Fun Home) and more.
Revamping Godspell for an exciting revival, the cast will be filmed at their homes and edited together digitally with striking visual animations. Available to stream for three days worldwide, this is a summer theatrical event not to be missed!
With its strong message of hope and community, Godspell in concert will be raising money for three wonderful charities: Hope Mill Theatre (A Factory of Creativity CIO), Acting For Others, and National AIDS Trust, looking towards a brighter future post-lockdown.
