The Movie of Matilda the Musical was expected to begin in August and end in December 2020, but it has now been stated that this subject to change due to COVID-19. Casting for the lead role will begin in April 2020, with producers looking for girls aged nine to 11 under the height of 4' 3" to play the titular role. Those cast must have a strong singing voice and movement skills.
Lucy Bevan Casting (‘Cinderella’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Hobbs and Shaw’) is currently looking for girls and boys for the title role and key supporting roles in an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda’, directed by Matthew Warchus and produced by Working Title Films.
