Avenue Q will return to the West End to mark its 20th anniversary, with a new production that will have a limited run at the Shaftesbury Theatre from 20 March to 29 August 2026. Tickets: here.
Produced by Kevin McCollum and Jamie Wilson Productions, the show will feature the original Broadway puppets and reunite members of the creative team behind the musical's debut.
The production is directed by the show's original Broadway director Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect, Shrek the Musical), and with original puppet designs by Rick Lyon.
Winner of the Tony “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q first opened in London at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2006 and went on to play 1,179 performances in the West End — also at the Gielgud Theatre and Wyndham's Theatre — before closing in 2010.
Mischievous, outrageous and irresistibly funny, Avenue Q follows a group of lovably hopeless characters living on a downtown New York street as they navigate life's big questions — love, work, relationships and how to pay the bills with a BA in English.
Brilliantly funny and packed with unforgettable songs performed by a cast of hugely talented actors and puppets, Avenue Q is the musical like no other. Not for the easily offended!
Further casting and creative details for the 2026 West End revival will be announced soon.
