The Greatest Showman, a new stage musical based on the famous 2017 film, will have its world premiere next year.

Audiences can anticipate a reimagining of the beloved moments from the film phenomenon, starring Hugh Jackman and its acclaimed cast, offering a deeper exploration of the characters' journeys. The production will showcase the celebrated musical compositions of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the award-winning duo behind "La La Land" and "Dear Evan Hansen." Familiar anthems like "The Greatest Show," "A Million Dreams," "This Is Me," and "Rewrite the Stars" will be featured, alongside newly crafted songs created exclusively for the stage adaptation.

The theatrical adaptation will be helmed by Casey Nicholaw, the acclaimed director and choreographer recognized for his Tony Award-winning work on productions such as "The Book of Mormon," "Aladdin," and "Mean Girls." Tim Federle, an Emmy-nominated writer known for his contributions to "Ferdinand" and "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," will be crafting the show's book.

The world premiere of "The Greatest Showman" musical is scheduled to take place at the Bristol Hippodrome in spring 2026. Disney, in an announcement made in August 2024, confirmed the development of the stage adaptation, hinting at potential future productions on Broadway and in London, anticipated for 2026 or 2027.
